I have some old books that have been on a shelf at my Mother’ in laws house since before 1958….is there some way I can check the titles and find out if they are worth anything?

There are two of these books currently on eBay. How valuable are they?
A Refined Search at Bookfinder.com turned up 0 copies of this book.
A further search at AbeBooks.com, trying all parameters, turned up one result. Number 337 for sale for $149.00. That volume “has a myriad collection of flaws. There is significant scuffing and rubbing to the gold gilt on the front and back cover, some soiling from moisture to the spine, and very noticable bending to the front and back boards, again clearly from exposure to moisture. Still, is a limited first edition by the late and legendary author…”
