Alameda’s collectibles fair

Angela Hill of inside Bay Area has posted a great read about the Alameda collectibles fair:

It’s a retro trip, rocketing customers to the wacky and the wonderful, the worthy and the weird, the Wookie and the Wedgewood. It runs the first Sunday of every month on Alameda’s old naval air station, and it’s really something to see.

If you are in the area I suggeted checking it out, and if not it sounds like it might be worth a day trip at least.

Collector to Sell Classic Computer Software

A 175,000-piece collection of classic computer software, including many rare and sought-after titles, will be offered at auction June 16th on eBay.

The collection contains approximately 20,000 separate titles, more than half of them pre-1990. It includes a nearly complete line of early products from Accolade, Activision, Epyx, Infocom, LucasArts, Microprose, Origin Systems, Taito, and Virgin.
